Kelly D. Steele is an Iowa native, a 1987 graduate of William Penn College, and a 1990 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law. During his 20+ years as a financial advisor, Kelly has passed numerous securities and insurance exams, including the Series 6, 7, 24, 63, and 66 exams. Kelly has also earned the Certified Fund Specialist (CFS) designation. As president of Steele Wealth Management, Kelly has helped over 200 clients pursue their financial goals in many states, including Iowa, Colorado, Arizona, Florida, Texas, North Carolina, and Illinois.
In addition to being a financial advisor, Kelly is also a lawyer, licensed in both Iowa & Colorado. He has represented over 5,000 individuals with their legal matters and has acted as lead counsel in over 50 jury trials. Kelly has been a member of the Iowa State Bar Association for over 30 years.
Kelly has served his country and community in a variety of roles, including as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, as a church elder, and as a youth & high school coach (basketball, football, soccer, and track & field). He is active in Rotary International and Leadership Pikes Peak, as well as being a U.S. Air Force Academy Sponsor for two cadets. He has previously served as a board member for Rotary Champions, the Linn County Board of Health, the Junior Cougars Girls Basketball Program, the Steele Family Scholarship Foundation, the Cedar Rapids Adventurers Guild, the Colorado Springs Adventurers Guild, and Knox Presbyterian Church.
Kelly's primary passion is "adventuring" with his fiance, Jody, and daughters, Alana and Bella. Their adventures have included climbing mountains, skydiving, white-water rafting, trail & ultrarunning, cycling, and traveling. Kelly is a voracious reader and says that the best gift he ever received was a library card from his mother when he was 10-years old. Kelly and Jody split their time between Iowa and Colorado with their cat, Ozzie.
