After graduating from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1990, Kelly Steele became a prosecutor, before going into private practice as a criminal defense attorney in 1994. As a young attorney, Kelly began saving & investing a portion of his earnings for his own retirement. He then thought, "If I can invest my own money, then maybe I can help others invest their money, too."

In 2000, Kelly passed his securities & insurance exams, thinking that helping his friends & family with their investments would be a "side gig" while he continued the full-time practice of law. Little did he know that twenty-five years later, Steele Wealth Management, Inc. would grow to over 200 clients in twelve states, including Iowa, Colorado, Utah, Illinois, Florida, Texas, and North Carolina, with offices in Cedar Rapids and Colorado Springs. Kelly takes pride in having built a successful business that helps people pursue their financial goals.
